On the 2nd of February, 2021 The Social Entrepreneurship Virtual Exchange Program co-hosted by Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Canada was kicked start with the participation of 18 students form TVU, 25 students from NSCC, teachers and faculties of both institutes.

The Social Entrepreneurship Exchange Program (SEEP) is an annual program which has students from TVU and NSCC working together on business ideas that would promote entrepreneurship in Vietnam and Canada. This year, due to the current circumstances as Covid-19 continues to challenge face-to-face interactions of all types, SEEP has been switched to virtual exchange to foster the development of global competence among Vietnamese and Canadian students.

The goal of SEEP is to not only bring about students of both countries experiences of cross- cultural dialogue, languages, hopes and aspirations, and their interests and passions but also incubate and motivate the development of startup ideas among young people of both countries to address the uncertainty of the world economics in the wake of the covid and post-covid pandemic.

Sessions include four large group meetings and four asynchronous session in-between large group meetings from February to April. The next large group meeting is on the third of March.

On Thursday 29/10/2020, the Delegation of Tra Vinh University had the meeting with the Wallonia-Brussels Delegation in Vietnam. 

The delegation is made up of Dr NGUYEN Minh Hoa, Vice-Rector and Ms NGUYEN Thi Mai Khanh, Director of International Relations and Project Promotion. During this meeting, the two Parties exchanged views on the implementation of the activities planned for 2020 within the framework of the cooperation project between Wallonia-Brussels and the University of Tra Vinh, entitled “Applied research and field training program and in the laboratory for the treatment of wastewater by microalgae”. Thus, it has made it possible to open up new avenues of cooperation in the times to come. 

 

The Wallonia-Brussels General Delegations have diplomatic status and are responsible for the institutional representation of the governments of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Wallonia and COCOF to the local authorities of the countries where they are active. The General Delegates have a role similar to that of the Ambassadors. With their teams, their mission is to carry out constant coordination work between local institutional and operational actors and those of Wallonia-Brussels. In addition, the General Delegations are committed to maintaining continuity with the missions pursued in Wallonia and Brussels.: support creators, contribute to socio-economic development, promote mobility, defend values, enhance skills, promote the dissemination of culture, allow the promotion of higher education institutions and support Belgian scientific and technological cooperation French speaking. All in a spirit of cooperation and mutual aid. https://www.wbi.be/  

 

 

Career Day 2020 – A bridge between Students and Enterprises

(TVU) – Tra Vinh University Career Center has just successfully organized Career Day 2020 in July at Tra Vinh University, attracting dozens of businesses and more than one thousand students.

Career Day is an event organized by Tra Vinh University to take the students from Tra Vinh University and job seekers in Tra Vinh closer to enterprises and employers, as well as creating a bridge between businesses and students, so that the employees have a deep understanding about employers’ expectation and requirements toward their potential employees.

The U.S Consulate General - Ho Chi Minh City and Tra Vinh University will co-host an Information sharing session on The U.S Government scholarship programs and American Culture.
