APPLYING FOR VISA APPROVAL
"Vietnam Visa approval letter" is a document issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department via applied by a host organization in Vietnam. It is NOT a full visa, but an approval letter before departing for Vietnam is required and allowed a foreigner to pick up a Vietnam visa upon arrival at one of Vietnam’s Department in the foreign home countries under the sponsoring of a host organization in Vietnam.
Please see the required documents for the specific positions:
a) LV2: For the person who applies as a specialist or volunteer
Required documents:
1. Recommendation letter (from the home organization/ university/ institutions)
2. Passport (scanned)
b) LĐ: For the person who applies to work officially (Vietnam work permit required)
Required documents:
1. Vietnam Work permit (please see the Vietnam Work permit to provide the document requirement)
2. Passport (scanned)
3. 02 Photos (sized 4x6, white background, without glasses)
c) DH: Student Visa (also apply for international interns)
Required documents:
1. Recommendation letter (from the home university)
2. Passport (scan)
3. 02 photos (Sized 4x6, white background, without glasses)

Where and when to get a visa?
- After 07 working days since the host submits the visa application form to the Vietnam Immigration Department, the visa approval letter will be issued and sent to the applicant by email.
- When you receive the visa approval letter from TVU by email, candidates go to the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam to get the visa and pay for the visa fee.
